yesterday brought rain
the fat drops fell
like mini-missiles
exploding on contact
today brings snow
the flakes falling
like mini-parachutes
landing safely
but much too soon
if it wasn’t for the fall
we could've held on
to summer
but now we wait
seasons will change
the snow must fall
until the sun comes again
